All parties need to understand proper waterproofing details to get the mock up done right.
Building wrap is mostly done wrong.
Moisture can cause failures after successful application.
Repairs are costly for all involved, get it done right the first time.
Many air barrier systems require protection of the wall.
Elastomeric membranes and Synthetic Permeable membranes can often re-emulsify if left unprotected. STPE membranes do not.
This was first detected where membrane was leaking our the weeps.
Elastomeric membranes require protection of walls for entire project, failure to do so lead to many failures. STPE membranes do not.
This does not meet Continuous Insulation Building Code Requirements.
Proper sequencing can ensure a watertight installation.
Penetrations not properly flashing with Peel-N-Stick. Liquid Flashing easier to install correctly.
