Scott Kind, President
Scott knows the industry and its people well.
He's worked in commercial building for nearly 20 years as a contractor, manufacturer, distributor, and now as an independent manufacturer's sales agent. Scott's understanding of these various roles combined with his vast product knowledge equip him to give stakeholders just what they need.
Scott genuinely enjoys working in this industry with its people. Whether he's interpreting the code and technical requirements, or assisting a contractor with an installation detail, Scott is consistently conversing with and supporting all members of the construction cycle. His passion and focus on relationship building have contributed greatly to his success in the industry.
Scott also enjoys hanging out with his family and friends, coaching and playing basketball, spending time outdoors, and being involved at his church.
Rick Powell, Business Manager/Partner
Rick is an experienced relationship builder in the commercial building industry.
He's worked in commercial building for over 40 years with customers from all areas of the industry, including contractors, architects, engineers, manufacturers and distributors.
Building and enhancing relationships with all stakeholders has been an important key to Rick's success in business. He genuinely enjoys the interaction with customers from all venues and continues this offering of expertise now with Spirit Sales Group.
Rick is married and enjoys spending time traveling and visiting with his children. He has a passion for camping, and also appreciates visiting national parks for their beauty and historical significance.
Ray Martin, Sales Agent
Ray brings many years of experience as a manufacturer’s sales agent.
He has a vast knowledge of the entire building envelope including waterproofing, insulation, windows, air barriers and roofing. Ray has the ability to work with all members of the construction channel including owners, architects, engineers, general contractors, sub-contractors and distributors. Ray’s customers often enjoy a smile and laugh while working with him.
Ray lives with his wife in Roanoke, VA. He is an avid Duke basketball fan, and has enjoyed positively impacting many kids through the years by coaching youth baseball. He and his wife enjoy traveling to spend time with family and continue to be heavily involved in their church.
Bill Barker, Sales Agent
Bill brings over 35 years of experience in sales/technical service of specialty waterproofing and restoration products to the commercial construction industry in the Southeast US Region. He focuses on sealants, thin film, and high build wall
coatings, air- and water-resistive barriers, deck coatings, and related accessories.
Originally from Roanoke, VA, Bill has been a Florida resident for 26 years and now resides in the Charlotte metropolitan market. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf & tennis, and leading an active lifestyle.
Andrew Stanfield, Sales Agent
Andrew is an experienced market developer that enjoys going above and beyond for his customers and building strong relationships.
He is a Coastal Carolina Graduate, with previous professional experience in Trim, Roofing, and now the Building Envelope Industry. He understands the importance of working hand in hand with Distributors, Architects and Contractors while providing them with the solutions they need.
Andrew is originally from Mebane, NC, but has been a resident of Charleston, SC for the past 6 years. In his free time, he loves traveling and spending time with his wife. You can typically find them at the beach, enjoying live music, or watching their two favorite sports teams—the North Carolina Tar Heels and the Philadelphia Eagles.
George Arnold, Sales Agent
George Arnold is a graduate of UNC Charlotte and started his business career at McEwen Lumber Company in High Point. He was then offered the opportunity to open the Carolinas territory for Hydrozo Coatings (now a part of BASF) and managed their Charlotte office for six years. In 1990, George purchased an existing manufacturer’s representative agency, and that firm is now known as Specified Materials.
Since 2001 George has partnered with other local Rep Agencies to provide building enclosure solutions more effectively throughout the Carolinas. Over the years George has provided numerous presentations, with a focus on Masonry, Waterproofing and Building Envelope Solutions, to Architectural and Engineering Firms and to Industry Associations.
George and his wife Laura are both natives of North Carolina and reside in High Point.
Donna Dickerson, Sales Coordinator
Donna brings over 20 years of professional experience in customer service, sales/sales management, and marketing. She's a solution-based strategic thinker who's spent her career developing customer relationships with small businesses to Fortune 500 corporations. Donna was also co-owner of a small business and knows how to wear several hats while keeping customers happy. She brings experience from different industries in Washington D.C., Virginia, the Carolinas, Georgia, Florida and Tennessee.
Some of Donna's outside interests are ballroom dancing, singing, and acting in community theater. She's also an avid reader, loves art, and enjoys good food (not the cooking part, just the eating part)!
